After searching the UK for the finest automotive technicians, the UK Finals were be held this month at 2 prestigious venues.
The Autobody and Paint finals were held during the Triple Focus event at Thatcham (16/17 June) and the Automobile Technology (Light Vehicle) final at the BMW Academy in Reading (22/23 June).
The finalists were selected after competing throughout the UK, with only the highest scorers offered a place. As previous competitors can confirm, the Skillauto competitions are the primary route in to the WorldSkills competitions - the next one to be held in London in 2011. Find our more here
The competitors were expected to complete tasks which would really test their ability, skills and how they work under pressure, The competition is designed to search for excellence within the automotive field and really push standards in our industry.
